Learn three programming languages and build your own interactive website

- Get to know the theoretical underpinning of Computer Science

- Learn to write HTML, CSS and Python

- Understand how computer systems analyse data

- Continue your studies after the summer with a free follow-up online course

Computer Science powers the modern world. More than anyone else, tech entrepreneurs and pioneers are, right now, shaping what the future has to hold for us. On this course, you’ll gain an insight to the nuts and bolts that underpin how computer systems work, and how computers are programmed to serve our needs.

Our expert teachers, all qualified at least to Master’s level, will guide you through both the theory and the exciting practice of Computer Science. You’ll learn about HTML, the foundation of all websites, and CSS, which provides their formatting. You’ll also have the chance to learn Python, a general purpose programming language that is easy to get to grips with. With this newfound understanding, you’ll be able to build your own interactive website over the duration of the two-week course.

No previous programming experience is required to study Computer Science with Oxford Royale Academy’s London summer school; all you need is intermediate-level IT skills that you’re likely to have learned at school. You’ll study alongside students from countries all over the world; last year, no fewer than 17 different nationalities were represented on our Computer Science course, and in 2017, there may be even more.

Don’t worry that you’ll be spending your entire time in London in front of a computer screen. Students on our Computer Science Programme take part in a full range of excursions, events and extra-curricular activities. You might have the chance to explore the Tower of London, learn circus skills or meet birds of prey. Two coach trips are included as part of every ORA course.
